Uganda Australia Honey Connection
14 February 2022First aid workshop for beekeepers
22 February 2022As you are all no doubt aware, the Urban Beekeepers of the Inner West has moved our base from the Mungo Scott Flour Mill at Summer Hill.
A club member, Ahmad, has kindly made a vacant shop available for meetings and courses and to store our equipment and furniture that is suitable for those activities. The shop is located at 22A Llewellyn Street, Enmore and access is available by contacting the President or Vice President. The balance of our goods and chattels are being stored in a new garden shed at the Club’s Croydon Park apiary.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend the Club’s sincere thanks and appreciation to EG Funds and the Mungo Scott Team for their kindness, consideration and support in allowing the Club to occupy the Annex at the Mungo Scott Flour Mill Building for a period of almost three years. Our presence at the building was without any expense to ourselves and many facilities were made available to us which were of great assistance in providing for our members.
Thanks to community awareness and involvement that was shown by EG Funds and the Mungo Scott Team we were able to reach out to many members of the general Summer Hill community and discuss the beneficial aspects of urban beekeeping with them. AS a result we were able to form bonds and friendships with a number of those people.
